    Biden has spoken about creating a National Police Oversight Board however also proposed investing $300 million more in police training. The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act has passed the House but has not defeated the Senate filibuster yet. This bill contains multiple reform strategies, but according to the 'Movement for Black Lives' fails to address police violence nationwide and is calling for new, comprehensive legislation that will address these issues.     The Biden administration has announced plans to dismantle or reverse many aspects of Trump's signature tax law.     The $15 minimum wage increase has been rejected in the upcoming COVID Stimulus Bill by the parliamentarian, but the Biden Administration has reaffirmed their support. There has been no further comments by Biden on how this increase will be done, or when. Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota has explained that she, along with a group of progressives, will meet with the White House soon to strategize the increase. Read more about this

    Biden has written an EO for an indefinite moratorium on new oil and gas leasing on federal lands. Biden has also signed an EO to establish Emissions and Fuel Economy standards. A planned meeting with oil and gas industry leaders will further give information on how these regulations will change.     The US has rejoined the Paris Climate Accord, established the White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy, commit to the goal of conserving at least 30 percent of our lands and oceans by 2030, call for the establishment of a Civilian Climate Corps and more. Biden has released information surrounding a $3 trillion pair of infrasture bills that will involve funding clean energy, electric grids, and energy-efficent affordable housing.     Biden has written multiple executive orders strengthening the ACA, Medicaid including extending the enrollment period for the ACA. There are talks of Democrats maintaining the subsidies past the initial deadline of 2022.     Created a Task Force to Reunify Families, however has been potentially bringing back regressive policies in relation to ICE and DHS. With the surge in migrants crossing the border, there has been a spike in unaccompanied children. The Biden administration has temperarily housed these children in many overflow facilities, as they have allowed minors to stay while expelling families and adults. This has created a new form of family separation, forcing guardians to make decisions on sending their children to the border alone in order for them to stay in the United States.     There are currently bills in progress to strengthen the Voting Rights Act, specifcally the "For the People Act" and the "John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act". On Sunday, March 7th, Biden signed an executive order to improve voter rights, particularly for minorities and individuals with disabilities. According to the White House, they consider this an 'intital step' to then working with Congress to restore the Voting Rights Act.
